Attention Electric-Loving Consumers: the 2012 Mitsubishi i EV is Here

Over the past year, auto enthusiasts watched as Mitsubishi worked hard to mount anticipation for its revolutionary new electric vehicle. From transforming Normal, Illinois into EVtown, USA to delivering test models across the country, the automaker has been sending out a variety of marketing messages and telling consumers that EV-driving will pave the road to the future. Now, at the start of 2012, Mitsubishi has only one thing left to say: the 2012 Mitsubishi i EV has arrived.

Earlier this month, a handful of lucky consumers across Washington, Oregon and California earned boasting rights for claiming the first Mitsubishi i keys in the continental U.S. These three states, in addition to Hawaii, will be the only ones to hold the eco-friendly model until it spreads to the northeast come April. After that, dealerships across the country will start to get the 2012 Mitsubishi i as well.

Well-equipped to surpass even its strongest competitors, the new Mitsubishi all-electric vehicle already holds the following titles:

-    Number one vehicle on the EPA's list of "Fuel Economy Leaders: 2012 Model Year"
-    Most affordably-priced mass-market EV in  America
-    Friendliest-looking vehicle in the market

Ok, so maybe we made that last one up. But take one look at the model's front façade and tell us if you don't think the same... Regardless, the first two titles are as real as can be. The Mitsubishi EV truly holds the potential to bring consumers to the eco-friendly side. After all, who doesn't love saving money, lowering fuel consumption and riding in style?

To find out more about when the mass-market Mitsubishi i is slated to arrive at 1325 E. Chicago Street, Elgin, IL, 60120, don't hesitate to contact Biggers Mitsubishi. In the meantime, feel free to check out our comprehensive new Mitsubishi lineup and let us know what you think!
